Regina C. Marcucci is a choreographer offering dance instruction in the Hudson Valley for over 10 years. Her passion for dance started at age three when she began dancing at Rose Fabiano’s School of Dance. By twelve Regina was dancing with Bertman from MTV-The Grind, where she was introduced to Hip-Hop. While marching in the Macy’s Day Parade for Universal Dance Association she met her hero, Jazz dance legend Frank Hatchett, which led her to further expand her dance curriculum with Jazz-Funk and other styles. She was soon choreographing award winning cheerleading routines for individuas and groups competing in Nationals.

Regina has done choreography in Hip-Hop and Jazz for many area dance schools and organizations such as The Dance Diamond in Middletown, Nancie’s Dance Center in Hopewell Junction, St. Rose dance team in Albany, Cabaret for the Woodstock Youth Theatre & Backstage Productions to name just a few!

Regina has helped many area schools and local youth groups introduce young dancers to Hip-Hop and more.

World of Dance opened its doors on October 1st, 2001. Our primary focus is dance instruction in Hip-Hop & Jazz, as well as tap, and the fundamentals of Ballet. We have developed a weekly dance syllabus to ensure each class learns new choreography every session. Our curriculum, unlike other studios, requires students to attend just one class per week, providing all dance styles in a single session.

Our program is aggressive and highly structured, but our diversity has also proven successful in keeping students interested and maintaining a fun atmosphere. We encourage our students to dance anywhere and everywhere, and to experience all styles and forms of movement. World of Dance also emphasizes respect, pride and discipline to our students. We hope that when they leave, they have learned a more than just dance!

Our Saugerties location grew not only in students, but square footage as well, and we were operating two classrooms, over 2000 square feet, full-length mirrors, and state-of-the-art commercial musical equipment. In 2009 we finally outgrew our original location and moved to a larger facility in the Barclay Heights Plaza in Saugerties. We provide our students with the physical and mental tools they need to feel the music as well as hear it. The result is students who don't simply dance the steps, but perform routines.
