To dance is to be yourself; larger, more beautiful, more powerful

These videos are all about WOD Squad. They are beyond impressive!
I have put up their routines from the NJ competition on the Competition Squad page, please enjoy them. I wasn't at the Putnam Valley competition because I was at the John Legend concert, but they did amazing without me. They are all A-B students who are invloved in National Honor Society, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Lacrosse, Dance, Softball, Band, Choir, Swimming and more. I want to thank all the parents for the pictures you texted, and keeping me posted throughout the event. Great Job WOD Squad!

Holiday Inn - Upon the persistant reccomendation from my Aunt, I finally made the time to watch Holiday Inn from 1942. Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire and Virginia Dale make dancing appear effortless and almost ghostly the way they glide accross the floor. Their charisma and charm is far more enticing than any dance video I have recently seen. The way they danced with such grace and poise, and they way he respectfully held her while they danced...some young men should really take some notes!

John Legend - Evolver
This Christmas Brett (my husband) got tickets for John Legend at Foxwoods. Knowing I am a huge fan, we went and saw his concert...we had a BLAST! His new CD is a compilation of Acoustic, Reggea, R&B, Pop and some fabulous vocals! Seeing him genuinly perform songs of the past and present was just amazing. There was no "fluff" on stage. No big dance sections, or drowning out of back-up singers, just John and the piano. I highly reccommend his new album and if you can catch his show, it is worth it! Here are some pictures.

George Benson - Weekend in LA
Lately I have been jammin to George Benson...Gimmie the Night and Broadway. Just some oldies but goodies. He can play that guitar like no other. He makes it sing and echo his vocals like a choir. The track Weekend in LA technically has no vocals, but the guitar plays like a singer. I think this CD holds so much in the Jazz element...I hope you take the time to listen. |
